forget all you know
the red dawn has come
the eclipse forgave the crescent moon
swimming, i am swimming
seas of black
a leviathan of gargantuan demise
coughs and wracks his frame
he loves the rain, this beast, but loathes his aching joints
a snarl as i swim past him
rain
storm
hatred of sun
love of sky,
don’t be worried, i forgive all—i see nothing, so how can i do
anything that i must
and i must do much
this chain, this desk, this page, my mind—the carnival of crazy celebrating in my skull
that is my leviathan
this is my everest
but even everest falls when the world ends
and end it will
the vultures will come
their metal wings clash with blood red rash
glistening, screeching their happiness
they will join and serve leviathan
it is what is natural and what is natural is surely what is right
this end is right
we submit
uncomplaining
